The First war of dreams
Not every child is born with a passion for life is our guess but we would have known this for sure if we all had the opportunity to find out. There are a million things that a child likes to do but their dreams get crushed under the baggage of school and extra classes. It's fair enough. The probability of a secure future with the right education is much higher than finding one's passion which is more like a Schrödinger's cat which is present in any one of the millions of random boxes, with zero assurance of it being alive. A secure future wins over the hopes of passion in life!
The Second war against loneliness
As and when humans grow old, they tend to realize that there is no " constant " in life. The fear of dying alone, having no one to share their feelings, having no one to take care of them in the future makes them so scared that they want to commit to a relationship. What they generally forget is that the commitment is to be there for each other during all times not only during hardship or sadness. A husband is so busy with the office work that he hardly recognizes his wife's smile fade away. A father is so busy taking care of his family's future that he could never see his children grow old. A mother is so busy fulfilling the needs of the family that she has forgotten she has needs of her own. Everyone is so busy fulfilling each other's needs, they forget to realize that they have lost their individuality. There is no doubt that people love their family but they often find themselves off balance between finding the family's happiness and also celebrating them together. The hope of finding happiness 'one day' is murdering your 'today'.
The Third war of reputation
Society thinks that money and reputation are a measurement of success in life. People have got so involved in these that they don't realize that sometimes, the need to create memories matters more than minting money or letting go of egoistic or narcissistic opinion for the sake of reputation can be more beautiful than hurting your loved ones. After all, they are one of the main reasons for your happiness. The amount of respect that money and reputation might provide us in society is so lucrative that it devours our rationality at times. While trying to impress the society the scales fall from the eyes of loved ones and you are no hero anymore.
The Fourth war on health
A war of health is fought right from the beginning of life. But when people grow old they have their children who are busy in their lives and hardly talk to them, their spouse may or may not be alive, they may be living with their family or alone and to top all of this they may even be restricted from eating a lot of things that they like so that can live a few more years. Their day starts and ends with all sorts of pains in different parts ranging from mental to physical. Despite a life like this they want to grow healthy so that one day they will finally win the war and find peace forever. The long journey comes to an end when they rest their eyes one day with the hope of finding solace beyond life.
Realization
The hope never dies but also peace/ happiness is never found in real! We can follow the same path fighting all the Wars for Peace or make our present better. Live today without fearing tomorrow.
Brilliant writing. Really enjoyed the realization part. :)
